This week the dictrict of Lavapiés in Madrid will host the II edition of “Artesana Week Lavapiés”, an event to get You closer to the handmade beer.
During this week, Lavapiés will be the center of the handmade beer by hosting a great variety of activities that will try to get you closer to the beer culture in its most traditional way.
Among these activities there will be different free beer-tasting of handmade Spanish brands that will be served with Pintxos and food as well as visits to micro-fabrics, daily draws of beer bottles, Blues Concerts or special Offers to make of this event a great party.

So from the 18th to the 24th of April, Lavapiés will be the Capital of the handmade beer and the Bars of the district will serve this golden drink in varieties that are not found so easily usually. The bars that will be part of the Event are the one that You can find in the map:

To point out some of these weekend Activities of Artesana Week Lavapiés We choose the beer tasting “Bidassoa Basque Brewery and Pintxos” (Typicall “tapas” from the Basque Country) offered by Restaurante Achurry on Fryday at 19:00, the Beer tasting of Santo Cristo beers in bar Naranjo de Bulnes on Saturday at 19:00 and the Beer tasting Contest that will be offered by Restaurante Achurri on Saturday at 19:00.

The name of the contest is “Blind beer tasting Bidassoa Basque Brewery” and the winner will receive an award of 24 beers pack, the 2nd a pack of 12 and the 3rd a pack of 6. This last activity is restricted to 20 people and the registration are done by writing an email to achuri.lavapies@gmail.com. Good Luck!
