Celebrate the Chinese New Year in Madrid!

Madrid will also host one of the most important celebrations of the Chinese Comunity, the Chinese New Year! To do it, the Madrid district of Usera, as well as some others asociations and the Chinese Embassy have prepared different activities so everyone can enjoy the Chinese New Year in Madrid!

The most important one to celebrate the Chinese New Year in Madrid, the Year of the Monkey, will be a beautiful Parade leadered by an awesome red dragon that will walk along Madrid’s streets the Saturday 13th of February from 12:00 pm to 2 p.m.

But there will be more activities to enjoy pf! If You want to learn a little bit more about the Chinese literature, you can go to the Conference about “Key points to understand the Chinese writers works” (“Claves para la lectura de autores chinos”) that will take place in the beautiful Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid the 18th of February. On the other hand, if You rather Cinema better than literature, you have the option of going to the “Chinese Contemporary Cinema Seasons” from the 12th to the 26th de February, where different Chinese movies will be proyected in the Cultural Chinese Center in Madrid. And, to get in touch with the tastiest branch of this culture (its food) it is going to be celebrated China Taste!: The Party of the Chinese Gastronomy in Madrid that will be in the City from the 8th of February to the 6th of March. In it you will be able to taste the best and most typical dishes of this culture. The main activities of this event will be gathered in the Hotel Westing Palace, where 3 first line chefs from China have prepared a special Menu for these days. But you have more options to enjoy it! As 14 high quality Chinese restaurants of Madrid will also offer special Menus at good prices for all pockets sizes!

To complete this experience, and making a wink towards this Culture, the Palacio de Cibeles will be lighted in red lights to get the bad spirits away and bring the good luck to the City.
